Position Overview
Join the WeVote Movement. WeVote offers several open volunteering positions for QA Automation Engineers to help strengthen American Democracy via our Web and Mobile applications. This is a long-term VOLUNTEER opportunity with an Oakland, CA-based non-profit organization requiring a commitment of at least 6 hours per week for the next six months. Applicants must be located in the US, experienced in remote teamwork, and passionate about making a real difference.
Key Responsibilities
- Write scripts and create automation environments for repeated tests.
- Design, test, and deploy effective test automation solutions using various tools.
- Automate as much of the testing effort as possible with minimal code.
- Perform manual testing and verification on a weekly basis.
Required Qualifications
- Functional expertise with Selenium.
- Familiarity with Appium.
- Experience using BrowserStack.
- Knowledge of JavaScript.
- Proficiency with WebDriver IO.
- Commitment to strengthening American Democracy.
- A drive for personal excellence and making a meaningful impact.
- Experience working in a remote team environment.
- Willingness to support and collaborate with other volunteers.
- Ability to commit to 6+ hours/week during core team hours (Mon–Fri, 8 a.m.–6 p.m.) for at least six months.
