Marketing and Design Specialist - Daily and Weekly Campaign Development

Reports To: Executive Director

Position Summary:

The Marketing and Design Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, and executing creative marketing campaigns that promote Community Tech LLC's programs, workforce development initiatives, digital literacy training, and community events. This position merges creativity with strategy-using design, storytelling, and digital tools to build awareness, attract participants, and strengthen the organization's brand identity.

The ideal candidate is both creative and data-driven, capable of managing day-to-day content creation while maintaining a consistent, professional, and engaging brand presence across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1. Marketing Campaign Development:
    • Plan, create, and manage daily and weekly marketing campaigns aligned with organizational goals.
    • Develop promotional content for social media, email newsletters, websites, and community bulletins.
    • Collaborate with program leads to design targeted campaigns for training programs, recruitment, and community engagement.
    • Maintain a marketing calendar to coordinate ongoing activities and campaigns.
    • Analyze engagement metrics to assess campaign performance and optimize future strategies.
  • 2. Graphic Design and Creative Production:
    • Design marketing materials such as flyers, digital ads, posters, banners, social media graphics, and presentations.
    • Ensure consistent use of logos, colors, and fonts across all materials in alignment with brand guidelines.
    • Develop digital and print collateral for events, workshops, and organizational announcements.
    • Create visual assets for multimedia use (videos, reels, and infographics).
  • 3. Social Media and Digital Engagement:
    • Manage and update the organization's social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), YouTube).
    • Write engaging captions, hashtags, and posts that connect with Community Tech's mission and target audiences.
    • Monitor comments, messages, and online inquiries with professionalism and responsiveness.
    • Track social media analytics and audience engagement data weekly.
  • 4. Collaboration and Outreach Support:
    • Work closely with program staff, instructors, and business development teams to highlight program outcomes and success stories.
    • Capture and edit photos or videos during community events and training sessions.
    • Support outreach campaigns through email marketing, QR code integration, and cross promotion with partners.
    • Contribute to newsletters, reports, and presentations highlighting organizational milestones.
  • 5. Administration and Reporting:
    • Maintain marketing and design files in shared drives for easy access and reuse.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly reports summarizing campaign activity, reach, and impact.
    • Stay current with trends in digital marketing, social media, and design software.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or graphic design.
  • Proficiency with design software (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools).
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite).
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple projects and meet short deadlines.
  • Photography and basic video editing skills a plus.
