As a Director of Specialized Sales – Media and Entertainment Technology, you will lead a team of specialized sellers driving revenue by selling technology solutions (including Lumen® Vyvx® Broadcast Solutions, Lumen Bare Edge Metal, Cloud Services, and Security Services) to companies within the media and entertainment industry. This senior, strategic leadership role requires a deep understanding of industry-specific needs and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Mentoring: Manage, mentor, and motivate a sales team while coaching on effective sales strategies and building a high-performing group.
- Business Development: Identify and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities and accounts, including forecasting and monitoring sales activity.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute go-to-market and growth strategies that align technology capabilities with client business goals.
- Executive Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain strong, long-term relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers at client and agency partner organizations.
- Complex Deal Negotiation: Lead and close high-impact, complex enterprise sales pursuits while negotiating large contracts to exceed revenue targets.
- Industry Expertise: Act as a strategic advisor by leveraging in-depth knowledge of M&E industry trends, competitive dynamics, and relevant technology solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal product, marketing, finance, and delivery teams to ensure flawless service execution and advocate for customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- Seven plus years of direct sales leadership experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales targets, specifically within the media & entertainment or ad tech sectors.
- Strong business acumen, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and effective leadership capabilities in fast-moving, independent environments.
- Understanding of relevant technologies, including cloud computing services (e.g., AWS, Salesforce M&E solutions), digital platforms, and data analytics.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent years of related experience.

- Compensation: Based on skills, experience, and location. Salary ranges include: $148,838–$198,450 (AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY); $156,282–$208,373 (CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI); $163,727–$218,295 (AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA).
