Construction Engineer I

Position Overview

D&B Engineers and Architects is hiring a Construction Engineer I. Salary: $55,000 – $62,000
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 hour shift

Key Responsibilities

• Construction management and inspection support associated with water supply, distribution, and planning projects
• Interfacing with contractors during construction
• Client interaction and teamwork with design engineers and other disciplines
• Coordinating permitting efforts with various local regulatory agencies, including local and State health departments and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)

Required Qualifications

• Education: At least a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or closely related discipline
• Experience Required: 0 – 3 years of experience
• Willingness and ability to complete field work. This can involve climbing elevated structures, descending into excavations, entering confined spaces (below ground vaults or above ground storage tanks) and being in the vicinity of heavy construction equipment and vehicles
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Self-motivated and eager to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• FE/EIT and OSHA training is a plus, but not required
