Position Overview

QSAC is a New York City and Long Island based nonprofit that supports children and adults with autism and their families. Our mission is to help them achieve greater independence, realize their future potential, and contribute meaningfully to their communities through person-centered services.

If you are organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy juggling multiple tasks while delivering excellent customer service, this administrative support role may be for you. This "floater" position requires travel to various QSAC locations throughout NYC and Long Island. A personal vehicle is required, and travel reimbursement for mileage and tolls is available when applicable.

Compensation:Pay Rate for Position – $17.50. The position reports out of our Astoria Queens Location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to center-based sites throughout NYC and Long Island.
  • Welcome and admit visitors; greet students and families while maintaining proper security procedures (e.g., visitor log book, time card swipes).
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of individuals.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, faxing, ordering supplies, and maintaining paper and computer files.
  • Mirror responsibilities of the Office Manager when required.
  • Manage calendars and create or edit Microsoft Office documents as requested.
  • Maintain individual/family confidentiality.
  • Respond to and transfer incoming calls, take messages professionally, and route calls as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or senior management.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associate's degree is highly preferred or related administrative experience.
  • 1-2 years of customer service or office experience is highly preferred.
  • Punctuality, regular attendance, and dependability are expected.
  • Commitment to company values and adherence to policies is essential.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, track, and follow-up on outstanding issues and projects.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Must be able to travel to various QSAC locations; a personal vehicle is required with potential travel reimbursement for mileage and tolls.
