Position Overview
Merrill Wealth Management is a leading provider of comprehensive wealth management and investment products and services for individuals, companies, and institutions. In this role, you will work with high-net-worth clients (annual revenues of $100k–$5mm) to assess financial goals, develop tailored investment recommendations, and build a sustainable book of business. You will be part of a vibrant in-office culture that values transparency, diversity, and continuous professional development. The position also requires SAFE Act registration with the accompanying background check and registration process.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored and personalized advice through client reviews and presentations, assessing financial goals and recommending investment strategies.
- Communicate solutions that best fit clients’ financial needs, including core Banking, Investment, and Life Priority™ solutions.
- Partner with Financial Advisor teams to share market insights and develop a robust network to promote portfolio growth.
- Access the bank’s full range of resources to benefit both existing and prospective clients.
- Develop and grow a book of business to meet and exceed predefined financial targets.
Required Qualifications
- Current Series 7 & 66 (or 63 & 65 in lieu of 66) licenses.
- At least two years of experience in the financial services industry or a sales environment with proven goal achievement.
- Minimum one year of experience in the investments industry with in-depth knowledge of investment products and services.
- Strong time management, goal-setting, relationship building, and communication skills.
- Ability to navigate complex environments, prioritize tasks, and operate in a fast-paced setting while adhering to regulatory due diligence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads and balance investment management with new client development.
- Strong computer skills with the capacity to multitask in a demanding environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is a plus, along with additional designations such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC).
- Insurance licensing is preferred.
