Position Overview
As a Market Manager based in Portland, Oregon, you will guide your market to achieve sales goals and objectives within Oregon by delivering excellence across on and off premise key customer accounts. You will gain exposure to various facets of the sales and marketing organization to develop and execute customer strategies and business plans while maintaining an account list of top influential accounts and delivering KPI goals. You are an inspiring leader who places the customer and consumer at the heart of every decision, and you serve as the key face of Bacardi—driving new business, nurturing long-term relationships, and collaborating with distributors, customers, and agency partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally utilizing Bacardi resources and distributor partnerships to maximize performance and sales efforts, increasing volumes while building enduring business opportunities.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with key customer accounts by creating customer strategies and plans that lead to mutually beneficial outcomes through impactful presentations and ROI evaluations.
- Manage your budget effectively by applying thoughtful financial decisions to increase profitability, demonstrating strong financial acumen with an understanding of retail finances, pricing, and logistics.
- Provide market and competitive brand updates to the commercial team with timely and accurate communication of changing field conditions, including distributor and competitor staffing changes.
- Engage with the Regional Director and Human Resources to hire and develop successful primos through performance feedback discussions and guidance towards achieving career goals.
- Coordinate with distributors, Advocacy Managers, and Brand Marketing to ensure effective collaboration.
- Survey the market to ensure that distribution, pricing, POS, displays, programs, and other initiatives are executed to standard.
- Review overall market performance, including Rate of Sale drivers, activations, and execution efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent years of related experience.
- 4+ years of sales experience in the spirits or beverage industry with 2+ years of on/off premise experience.
- Demonstrated understanding of the on and off premise business and the critical factors affecting customer decisions.
- Influential communicator with strong interpersonal skills, proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and advanced computer functions.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
