Job Description

Position Overview

Full Time Nurse Practitioners are needed to join our Healthy Horizons Clinic Urgent Care Outpatient Office. In this role you will diagnose and treat health conditions, promote good health practices, and serve as both a healthcare provider and educator. You will work alongside 5 MDs and 5 other NPs ensuring the best patient care possible. Compensation: $120,000-$130,000 per year depending on experience plus Full Benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Examine patients and review their medical records
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests, X-rays)
  • Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
  • Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
  • Prescribe medications
  • Maintain accurate records and schedules
  • Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
  • Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics, and prevention
  • Oversee overall patient health
  • Promote good health practices
  • Advance professional knowledge and conduct research

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinic, hospital, ER, or similar setting
  • Expertise in primary care, acute care, and chronic care practices
  • Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ethics and a team spirit with a positive attitude
  • Patience and the ability to remain cool-headed
  • Willingness to continually expand clinical knowledge and experience
  • Valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license (ANP/FNP required) and DEA number
  • Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner studies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required
