Job Description
Position Overview
American Specialty Health Incorporated is seeking a Software Engineer in Test Intern (Data Quality) to join our Consumer Technology – QA department. This position will gain hands‑on experience maintaining and developing software test automation tools using the latest Microsoft technologies. Compensation: $19.46 to $25.00 Hourly Wage Range. Candidates selected for this position will be trained remotely and must work from home in a designated area using company‑provided equipment with a reliable high‑speed internet connection (minimum 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload).
Key Responsibilities
- Contributes to enterprise level testing of web applications.
- Writes test cases and procedures against implemented tools and projects.
- Runs and maintains test automation tools.
- Develops test automation scripts and documentation.
- Project scope will depend on the intern’s experience and knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Coursework in computer science, data science, or a related technical field.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an IT, computer, or technical-related field (High school diploma required).
- Technical experience from previous jobs is preferred.
- Exposure to software quality assurance, relational databases, ETL design patterns and configurations, multi‑dimensional objects (cubes) and/or column store structures, and data analytics.
- Experience with object‑oriented programming in academic, hobbyist, or commercial settings.
- Experience working with Web Services, APIs, databases, and reporting tools.
- Responsible, team‑oriented, and self‑motivated.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with data visualization practices and methods.
- Ability to work with multiple platforms in the data domain.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
