TheHuman Resources Coordinatorprovides essential administrative and operational support to the HR department. This entry-level, in-office role is ideal for detail-focused and organized individuals beginning a career in Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming HR-related mail and correspondence.
- Mail outgoing items via USPS, UPS, or FedEx.
- Monitor the HR Jira inbox and route tickets accordingly.
- Track candidate progress in the HRIS system and coordinate supporting tasks.
- Support the onboarding process by completing I-9 forms, ordering background checks, and assigning new hire training.
- Assist with employee terminations, including processing paperwork and system updates.
- Maintain and organize employee files (both physical and digital).
- Assist in preparing HR communications, offer letters, and standard forms.
- Provide general administrative support during the recruitment process.
- Copy, scan, file, and distribute HR documents as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality of all HR-related documents and information.
- Perform other administrative and clerical tasks as assigned by the HR team.
Required Qualifications
- 0-1 years of successful experience in human resources.
- BA/BS desired.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws; experience with multi-state law is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of major categories of employment relationships, including employee relations, safety, work environment, training, recruitment, statistical analysis, workers' compensation, andbenefits.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to effectively analyze data and provide recommendations.
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Willingness to learn American Sign Language and understand Deaf culture.
- PHR or SPHR Certification preferred but not required.
