Position Overview
Freeman is a global leader in events, on a mission to redefine live for a new era. With a data-driven approach and the industry's largest network of experts, Freeman's insights shape exhibitions, exhibits, and events that drive audiences to action. We are seeking a Director of Brand Marketing for The Freeman Company – the parent company responsible for shaping and elevating its brand presence and driving strategic marketing initiatives. This role focuses on developing a consistent, compelling brand narrative across channels while collaborating with digital, communications, marketing, and sales teams to deliver high-impact results. Location: Dallas, TX. Schedule: Hybrid (in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive brand marketing strategy that strengthens awareness, engagement, and market distinction of the parent company.
- Lead brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity integration across all internal and external channels.
- Oversee integrated marketing strategies from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with overall business and growth objectives.
- Partner with creative, content, events, social, and PR teams to deliver cohesive storytelling that resonates with industry audiences.
- Utilize consumer insights, market research, and performance analytics to inform strategy, optimize campaigns, and establish growth benchmarks.
- Manage agency relationships and vendor partnerships as needed.
- Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Monitor trends and competitive activity to identify new opportunities for growth or enhancements to the overall parent company narrative.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited college or university with a concentration in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
- Experience Required: 10+ years in brand marketing, integrated marketing, or related disciplines.
- Proven success in developing and executing brand strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Strong background in creative direction, campaign management, and storytelling.
- Proficiency in using marketing analytics, research, and data to inform strategic decisions.
- Experience managing budgets as well as agency and vendor partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally and influence executive stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while balancing strategic priorities.
- A strategic thinker with a strong sense of brand purpose and market positioning, and an innovative mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
