Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer to join their pioneering team. This fully remote, permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge aviation projects from the comfort of your home office. You will be instrumental in designing, integrating, and testing complex aerospace systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met.

In this role, you will define system requirements, develop architectural designs, conduct trade studies, oversee the implementation of hardware and software components, and mentor junior engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including software developers, mechanical engineers, and project managers—to manage requirements, perform system verification and validation, assess risks, and develop technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, and test complex aerospace systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Define system requirements and develop architectural designs.
  • Conduct trade studies and risk assessments to support system development.
  • Oversee the implementation of hardware and software components.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous process improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in aerospace systems engineering.
  • Proven track record in the full lifecycle of aerospace system development.
  • Expertise in requirements definition, system architecture, and interface control.
  • Proficiency with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, Cameo) and modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Strong understanding of safety-critical systems and certification processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
  • Eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
