Position Overview
Power-Flo Technologies, a leading distributor of electrical equipment, is seeking an Entry Level Account Manager for the New York Metro, Long Island, and Westchester territory. This role focuses on MRO and OEM sales by developing client relationships, generating new business through prospecting (including cold calling), and delivering tailored solutions. A comprehensive 3-month hands-on training is provided before transitioning to field work.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with clients and maximize sales opportunities.
- Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to provide tailored solutions for customer satisfaction.
- Target Account Planning and Execution.
- Generate and develop new business to increase revenue through prospecting activities, including cold calling.
- Manage ongoing account activities including quotations, pricing, delivery, service, and new product/promotional releases.
- Identify potential cross selling opportunities.
- Conduct frequent sales visits and maintain regular communication with clients.
- Assist clients with projects and engineered solutions.
- Negotiate with suppliers and close deals with customers.
- Track sales activities and customer interactions.
- Engage in personal development, including sales training and product knowledge enhancement.
- Resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
- Stay up to date with market trends and competitor activity.
- Attend conferences and trade shows.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Self-starter with a strong motivation to learn.
- Strong professional business acumen.
- Desire to grow business through outside sales appointments.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Effective time management, organization, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Commitment to quality.
- Valid Driver’s License.
