Position Overview
Join Marathon Petroleum Company LP as a Mechanical Engineer co-op/intern where you'll work at a Marathon refinery and gain hands‐on experience across multiple areas of refining. Location: Findlay, Ohio
Key Responsibilities
- Familiarize yourself with industry codes and best practices in a dynamic refinery environment.
- Collaborate with professionals to gain a comprehensive understanding of various refining processes.
- Develop critical thinking and written/verbal communication skills through diverse engineering projects.
- As an Area Refining Engineer/Project Engineer: develop project scopes, estimates, schedules and manage design and construction efforts with provided training.
- As a Reliability Engineer: support maintenance through root cause failure analysis, equipment optimization, and troubleshooting of fixed systems.
Required Qualifications
- Must be majoring in Mechanical Engineering with strong academic performance.
- Authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Available for spring, summer, and fall semesters; multiple work terms preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be concurrently enrolled in a degree-seeking program.
- Military experience is a plus.
