Radiologic Technologist - Casual

Position Overview

Fairview is hiring a Radiology Technologist to join our Medical Imaging Department at University of Minnesota Medical Center – East Bank in Minneapolis, MN. This casual position works as needed across day, evening, and night shifts. Note: If the majority of your allocated shift hours are worked between 3pm – 11pm, you will receive an additional $6.00 per hour on top of your base rate and shift differentials; if between 11pm – 7am, an additional $8.00 per hour will be applied.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains patient care standards
• Accurately performs diagnostic exams and procedures
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to appropriate health care professionals
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
• Accurately maintains and updates patient records including edits, scheduling, billing, status changes, and image transfers in a timely manner
• Performs accurate image marking, digital image manipulation, and archiving

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
• ARRT Certification/Registration
• Basic Life Support (BLS) before date of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3 years experience as a technologist in a hospital setting
• Advanced Imaging modality certification
