Sr Cyber Threat Intel Analyst

Position Overview

PayPal has been revolutionizing global commerce for over 25 years by creating innovative and secure payment solutions. In this role as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, you will support our Adversarial Cyber Threat Intelligence initiatives by identifying and monitoring external threat actors, assessing ongoing attack campaigns, and delivering actionable intelligence to enhance PayPal’s security posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently apply security best practices to optimize cyber threat management while aligning security measures with business objectives.
• Partner with peers and internal teams to drive security initiatives and co-lead efforts to strengthen our cyber threat posture.
• Analyze and resolve security challenges by adapting standard cyber threat management processes and exploring alternative approaches for complex threats.
• Influence team performance through informed decision-making that may impact multiple teams.
• Collaborate with key partners to gather feedback and drive continuous improvements in cyber threat management.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient understanding of attack methodologies, TTPs, and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and Diamond Model Analysis.
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms and tools for data collection and analysis.
• Strong analytical writing and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable intelligence.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with incident response processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams is a plus.

• Competitive Compensation: U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $111,500 to $191,950. Actual compensation is based on various factors including work location, skills, and experience.
