This critical role is responsible for establishing and enforcing ethical guidelines and principles in the development and deployment of artificial intelligence systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong interdisciplinary background, combining technical understanding with deep knowledge of ethical frameworks, policy, and societal impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and refine the organization's AI ethics framework, policies, and best practices.
• Conduct ethical risk assessments and impact analyses for new AI projects and initiatives.
• Provide guidance and consultation to AI development teams on ethical considerations throughout the AI lifecycle.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, engineering, and product teams to ensure responsible AI development.
• Monitor AI systems for bias, fairness, transparency, and accountability, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Stay abreast of global AI ethics regulations, standards, and emerging societal concerns.
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on AI ethics principles and responsible AI practices.
• Engage with external stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, and industry groups, on AI ethics matters.
• Contribute to the company's thought leadership in AI ethics through publications, presentations, and public discourse.
• Advise on the ethical implications of data usage, algorithm design, and AI-driven decision-making.
• Establish mechanisms for ethical oversight and continuous improvement of AI systems.
• Champion a culture of ethical responsibility and trust in AI development and deployment.

Qualifications

• Degree: Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Philosophy, Law, Sociology, or Public Policy, with a specialization in ethics or technology policy.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy, preferably within a research or development environment.
• Knowledge: Deep understanding of AI technologies, machine learning concepts, and their societal implications.
• Framework Development: Proven ability to develop and implement ethical frameworks and policies.
• Skills: Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Impact Assessments: Experience in conducting ethical impact assessments and risk mitigation strategies.
