Job Description
Position Overview
Wells Fargo is seeking experienced Corporate Banking Analysts to join its Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB), supporting one of the industry's leading Financial Institutions practices covering insurance, asset management, market structure, and specialty finance companies. In this role, you will work on structuring and executing transactions, performing financial and credit analysis, and engaging in client portfolio management. Salary: $100,000-110,000 per year (base) with additional bonus and long-term incentives; Location: Charlotte, NC; New York, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in structuring and executing transactions and support senior staff with financial and credit analysis for an assigned portfolio of loans within Financial Institutions.
- Collaborate with senior staff to present recommendations for growing and maintaining a profitable FIG client portfolio through proactive business development and client retention.
- Develop presentation materials for client meetings and internal discussions, and lead follow-up actions to support the broader deal team.
- Perform or guide credit underwriting by accounting for all risk factors and providing risk rating recommendations.
- Review and interpret credit policies and procedures, incorporating the requirements into credit analysis and lending recommendations.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners, and stakeholders, including clients.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Preferred Qualifications
- A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics.
- 6+ months of financial services experience in portfolio management or equivalent experience.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze credit independently with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with effective multi-tasking capabilities.
- Motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Solid accounting knowledge.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver results.
- Experience with leading and contributing to project teams.
