Job Description

Position Overview

The Manager Financial Crimes Compliance II is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and escalating regulatory and legal issues related to BSA, AML, KYC, and OFAC. This role supports the enhancement of the Bank’s BSA Program by reviewing policies and procedures, developing policy documents, conducting risk assessments, and implementing training initiatives. The position also involves collaborating with internal partners and may supervise one or more professional staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and escalate issues affecting the industry by tracking regulatory and legal developments in BSA, AML, KYC, and OFAC.
  • Act as a consultant to the BSA Officer in developing official policy positions and white paper documents.
  • Assist in the annual review and enhancement of the Bank's BSA Program ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the Bank's BSA compliance training program in partnership with business lines and the Compliance Training Officer.
  • Supervise staff conducting risk assessments and analyze overall BSA compliance risks to recommend changes in policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with business units to develop or update policies related to BSA, AML, and KYC.
  • Serve as a regulatory consultant by communicating or escalating operational concerns as assigned.
  • Identify and address training needs, maintaining the BSA area of the Compliance Education Website.
  • Assist business units in remediating compliance findings from internal and external examinations.
  • Recommend enhancements to the "Know Your Client" process and maintain related systems and websites.
  • Participate in bank-wide projects and integrate activities with other departments to accomplish common goals.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and operational support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the implementation and validation of KYC/EDD models by designing insights and analytics reporting and writing detailed business requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Compliance role.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a BSA role.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Compliance Risk Assessment testing and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACAMS Certified or equivalent.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to perform functional duties with minimal supervision while interacting effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements with an emphasis on BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and general bank policies.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, provide guidance, and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Proven capability to supervise and coach staff.

Compensation: Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
