Position Overview
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an HR Associate on the Gainesville campus. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support for HR functions including new hire onboarding, coordination of HR processes, and managing confidential paperwork. You will act as an initial point of contact, assist with data entry for the Talent Management team, and explain HR policies to internal and external customers.
Application review will begin in January after UNG's winter break. Please note that any offer of employment is contingent upon your eligibility to work in the United States. Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and resolve inquiries (phone, e-mail, in-person) and greet visitors to the department.
- Oversee the completion of hiring-related paperwork in accordance with Federal and State laws, as well as university policies.
- Create, maintain, and enter information into databases; generate IDs, update information in Banner; assist with creating and updating job profiles; complete virtual I-9 verification via Zoom; and monitor name and address change requests.
- Process, verify, and maintain personnel-related documentation, including reviewing and approving or rejecting completed Student Work Agreements and assembling UNG welcome folders for new staff employees.
- Complete employment verifications for current and former employees, including complex salary verification requests covering multiple years and various compensation elements.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED required.
- At least one year of customer service, administrative, human resources, or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
