Analyst, Data Visualization & Business Intelligence

Position Overview

This full-time Analyst, Data Visualization and Business Intelligence role is based on-site at the Royal Caribbean Miami 1050 Building and reports to the Sr Manager, Business Intelligence. You will design, implement, and develop reporting and analytics solutions—with a particular emphasis on data visualizations—to support decision making across various departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and develops data visualizations using Power BI, Custom Visuals, and R Visualizations.
• Meets with business stakeholders to clarify and document reporting requirements.
• Meets with technical stakeholders to perform code reviews and elicit feedback.
• Recommends data architecture and engineering structures necessary to support reports and dashboards.
• Works autonomously with little direction to complete assignments and coordinates business processes, programs, and projects.
• Aggregates large data sets using SAS, Excel, and other analytical tools and develops data strategies for exploration, trending, and modeling.
• Collaborates with management and team members to clarify data analysis and reporting needs while providing guidance on visualization options.
• Influences business decisions through analytics, identifying actionable, data-driven insights and communicating results to cross-functional groups and executives.
• Creates dashboards, automated reports, templates, and presentations using advanced data visualization tools, ensuring timely reporting of business trends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Analytics, Business, Engineering or equivalent combination with relevant analytic work experience or certifications.
• At least 2 years of work experience in data analysis, data mining, business case development, or related analytical projects.
• Strong proficiency in query/reporting tools including SQL, Advanced Excel, and visualization tools such as Tableau, along with experience in R, SAS, or Python.
• Experience with large data sets (both relational and non-relational), forecasting, data cleansing, and transformations.
• Familiarity with SQL and DAX, R scripting for Power BI visualizations, and experience working with databases including Oracle, SQL Server, and AS400.
• Ability to work on complex BI projects independently and communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
