Job Description

Position Overview

As the Project Manager Operations, you will embody NM’s mission, vision, and values while collaborating with NMHC Directors, Managers, and external partners to implement strategic initiatives and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead focused efforts, in collaboration with NMHC Directors and Managers, to identify and implement plans such as system implementation or cost reduction initiatives across departments and NMHC affiliates.
  • Collaborate with Project Analysts to develop data sets ensuring accurate measurement of progress toward goals.
  • Demonstrate leadership by embodying NMHC key competencies, including leading NMHC values, collaborating as a change agent, and energizing teams towards project success.
  • Act as a change agent by systematically driving and implementing prioritized changes and developing work plans for future states.
  • Support the development and execution of communication plans to ensure clarity and consensus among stakeholders.
  • Facilitate team meetings, provide feedback/coaching to team leads and members, and drive groups towards decisions while coordinating activities across teams.
  • Ensure adherence to project work plans, timeframes, and approved resources while managing ongoing project documentation.
  • Work with diverse team members including Vice Presidents, Directors, Managers, Staff, and external vendors to meet strategic objectives.
  • Exemplify a professional image in appearance, manner, and presentation while assuming responsibility for mandatory requirements and personal development.
  • Effectively work with operational managers and physicians to define projects and meet both client and organizational strategic objectives.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned in support of NMH priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of management experience.
  • Proven ability in operations logistics, project management, and transition planning.
  • 4-6 years' experience in clinical and/or support service operations, preferably within an academic medical center.
  • Highly effective communication skills with strong group dynamic and collaboration capabilities.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and proactively adjust work plans.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to establish productive working relationships with executive sponsors and team members.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, MHA, or MSN.
  • Experience leading DMAIC projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project software application.
