Position Overview

The Account Executive, Local (SMB) strategically converts new business, penetrates territories, and fulfills quotas with a primary objective to grow and retain profitable revenue. The incumbent analyzes sales reports and transportation trends to identify new customers, expand existing customer relationships, and manage shipment reductions. They track sales opportunities and develop a pipeline through strategic relationships while promoting cross-functional sales by sharing leads and collaborating on sales proposals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile weekly sales recaps on achievements, losses, and competitive information.
  • Analyze account recaps and monitor revenue trends to develop service recommendations.
  • Utilize shipping technology and systems for account activity review and customer database sign-up.
  • Manage accounts by advising customers on billing processes, resolving inquiries, and addressing customer concerns.
  • Train customers on the use and advantages of web-based shipping and tracking functions.
  • Leverage strong customer relationships to position the needed TFI shipping services to expand customer business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be currently located in the same geographic area as the position or willing to self-relocate.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of how TFI leverages competitive products, services, and technology.
  • Ability to project future customer needs combined with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven problem solver with the aptitude to identify issues and provide solutions.
  • Skilled at building strategic relationships focused on customer pipeline and key decision making.
  • Persuasive negotiator with tactical techniques to overcome objections.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends and their financial impact.
  • Experience delivering sales presentations.

Preferred Qualifications
