Position Overview

At EZCORP under the brand EZPawn, we are looking for dedicated Retail Sales Associates / Retail Customer Service Representatives to join our team at 817 N. Texas, Weslaco, Texas 78596. This isn’t just a job—it’s a career. You will begin as a Trainee in our 5‐week paid training program with opportunities for promotions and enhanced competitive pay along with great benefits and bonus potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Begin as a Trainee in our 5‐week paid training program and earn a $.50 raise upon successful completion, advancing to Pawnbroker.
• Participate in the Pawnbroker Certification Program to earn an additional $1/hour.
• Progress to roles such as Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Manager) and ultimately apply for the Store Manager in Training position, which includes a 12‐week preparatory program.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers in person and on the phone, processing sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties to ensure smooth daily operations.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in customer service, cashier, or retail roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong multitasking abilities.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items (such as tools, jewelry, firearms, electronics) is a plus.
• Sales background is advantageous.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
