Position Overview
Join Mutual of Omaha as an Inbound Insurance Sales Consultant and turn inbound calls into closed deals. In this remote role, you will work in a fast-paced Direct Sales Center, handling inbound leads to assess needs, overcome objections, and recommend insurance solutions that protect what matters most. If you’re not already licensed, you’ll receive support to earn your life, health, and accident insurance licenses within your first 90 days – with exam costs covered for up to three attempts.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound sales calls – answer customer inquiries, stay updated on policies, and document requests while encouraging sales.
- Assess and sell insurance products – understand callers’ needs, recommend additional financial services, complete phone applications, and refer leads as necessary.
- Follow up with customers – contact clients to offer extra coverage and maintain ongoing relationships.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance – protect customer information and uphold necessary insurance licensing standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must obtain and maintain insurance licenses (life, health, and accident) within the first 90 days (licensing exam costs covered for up to three attempts).
- Proven sales experience with strong closing skills in a competitive, target-driven environment.
- Ability to adapt and remain resilient in a fast-paced call center environment with high volumes of inbound calls.
- Proficient multitasking and computer skills, with the ability to troubleshoot remote work equipment.
- High-speed broadband internet (minimum 100MB download/50MB upload) with a hard-wired connection is required.
