Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Information Technology Specialist provides technical support by diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining computers, mobile devices, peripherals, and network components in both physical and virtual settings, including computer labs and Hy-Flex environments.
Salary: $5,775.47 - $7,455.07 Monthly
Location: BARSTOW, CA
Schedule: M-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm at Main Campus
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to help desk tickets, incoming calls, walk-ins, and emails regarding hardware and software issues.
- Assist end-users with access difficulties, operating system malfunctions, and repairs on laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain computers, peripherals, network components, and audio-visual equipment.
- Deploy system images, develop scripts to automate processes, and manage IT asset lifecycle from procurement to disposal.
- Provide technical support for computer labs, configure network components, and oversee printing and security systems.
- Coordinate IT support for campus events, including video conferencing setups and Hy-Flex classroom support.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in computer science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience Required: Minimum two years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience). IT certifications may substitute for formal education or experience.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, network troubleshooting, and mobile device management.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
