Entry Level Civil Engineer
Job Description
Position Overview
We are looking for an Entry Level Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Dallas/Fort Worth office. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering and 0 to 6 years of experience in designing natural gas projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, works well with others, and possesses excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design various natural gas transmission and distribution projects including pipeline, meter stations, and other facilities
- Prepare design reports and construction plans using applicable client, local, state, or other standards
- Coordinate the preparation of specifications and permit submittals
- Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
- Document design changes and maintain clear communications
- Conduct on-site observations as needed and prepare project status reports
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and support Project Managers as needed
- Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including progress reviews and pre-construction meetings
- Participate in seminars or training classes to stay updated with industry practices
- Maintain excellent client relations while ensuring a safe working environment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
- 0 to 6 years of experience designing natural gas projects
- Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong team orientation
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and CADWorks
