Position Overview

The Lead Robotic Process Automation Engineer (Lead Software Developer) role is a high-impact position responsible for providing technical guidance, designing automation solutions, and driving innovation across multiple projects while working in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides high-level technical input and guidance on project definition, application design, implementation, and integration, while devising procedures to solve complex problems.
- Lead RPA initiatives by overseeing the design, development, testing, and deployment of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions using UiPath, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
- Support end-to-end implementation of RPA projects including building prototypes, validating script performance, conducting demos, and training end-users on UiPath self-service tools.
- Collaborate with management to prioritize service requests, assign tasks, manage schedules, and ensure timely delivery of assignments.
- Define the strategic roadmap for automation initiatives by establishing performance standards and best practices.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently using effective project management techniques for planning, estimating, and monitoring progress.
- Act as project leader for initiatives with small budgets or limited duration.
- Oversee the end-to-end incident and change management process using ITIL standards and platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Provide software development support for major applications and system integrations.
- Design architecture enhancements for existing applications, evaluate performance, and identify automation opportunities.
- Ensure all automation solutions meet stringent security and compliance requirements by coordinating with IT security teams.
- Establish new development and implementation processes; coordinate teams using SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
- Research and recommend new vendors and third-party solutions, working with business units to design integrations.
- Monitor industry trends and propose new technologies to support evolving business needs.
- Develop technical project estimations for small to medium-scale projects and mentor automation engineers.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to design technical solutions aligned with strategic objectives and report on project performance.
- Participate in sharing technology expertise and mentoring peers in development processes.
- Leverage experience with AI Agents, orchestration, and building monitoring/evaluation solutions to enhance team innovation.
- Provide management with accurate and timely status reports on all assigned projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with regulatory requirements and training, including BSA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proficiency in .NET/C#, Python, and UI Path.
- Experience with Web Services, Visual Studio, Visual SourceSafe/Team Foundation Server, JavaScript, HTML5, SQL Server/TSQL, Agile Methodologies (SCRUM), Java, XML, and Oracle/PL-SQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills, adherence to coding standards, and the ability to resolve bugs efficiently.
