At Det-Tronics, a $180M projects-based global brand within Spectrum Safety Solutions, the focus is on creating safe, secure, and sustainable environments with high-end flame and gas detection products. As a Production Manufacturing Technician, you will play a key role in the Operations support team by using your expertise and the Det-Tronics Operating System to ensure efficient performance of production equipment. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will collaborate closely with Test Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and the Production Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Help develop and execute enhanced TPM System.
- Act as the first line of support for “Line-Down” situations.
- Utilize troubleshooting skills to perform rework and repair of equipment and products as assigned.
- Implement and maintain ESD mitigation and protection systems and equipment.
- Analyze first pass yield data to identify trends, perform RRCA, and take corrective actions to ensure high quality and yield.
- Perform initial troubleshooting of failures affecting equipment, fixtures, and processes on the production assembly line(s), ensuring proper resources are allocated for resolution.
- Assist in the installation of new fixtures and equipment and complete required documentation and evaluations for new equipment and TPM plans.
- Actively participate in production improvement activities and proactively suggest improvement opportunities.
- Monitor production line progress and resolve emerging issues.
- Set up and operate production equipment.
- Participate in the Det-Tronics Excellence Lean program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent.
- Two or more years of experience as a technician or technician’s assistant performing test, calibration, and/or repair of electronic assemblies, and maintenance & repair of production equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic (PCB and interconnect), electro-mechanical, and light mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of ESD protection processes and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and/or building test fixtures.
- Relevant programming experience/knowledge.
- Experience supporting assembly lines and process improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and good powers of observation.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required.
- Ability to provide training.
