Job Description

Position Overview

This role supports the SEHD HR team by handling general HR inquiries via email and phone, maintaining HR webpages and databases, coordinating onboarding/offboarding processes, and auditing payroll registers. The candidate will be instrumental in ensuring smooth HR operations and accurate record keeping.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field all general SEHD HR inquiries via email, phone, and other communication channels in a timely manner.
  • Maintain HR webpages, forms, and resources, and process mass email communications.
  • Track data in databases/spreadsheets and manage personnel files.
  • Coordinate I-9s and ensure onboarding and offboarding checklists are completed.
  • Provide search support and candidate correspondence, and maintain CU Careers requisitions.
  • Process student employment setups, payments, work study awards, and biweekly timesheets.
  • Track leave usage for SEHD personnel and ensure payroll deadlines are met.
  • Audit payroll registers and resolve discrepancies with partners.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (Entry and Intermediate Level).
  • One year of professional experience managing employee benefits, hiring, onboarding, performance management, or HR records (Intermediate Level).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of experience with employee hiring and onboarding, performance management, or HR records.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft HCM or similar HR Management software.
  • Experience in a higher education setting.
