Position Overview

Gemini is a global crypto and Web3 platform founded by Tyler Winklevoss and Cameron Winklevoss in 2014. Our mission is to unlock the next era of financial, creative, and personal freedom. As a Software Engineering Intern in the Payments department, you will collaborate with a dedicated team to architect and solve complex problems – from securing millions of dollars in customer funds and developing innovative blockchain products, to optimizing API response times. Based in New York with a flexible hybrid work policy, you can work in-office or remotely as suited to your location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support new products and product features on the Gemini platform as part of a tight-knit team of developers.
  • Partner with senior engineers to write automated tests ensuring the correct operation of new features.
  • Provide technical input during the planning, design, and requirements process for new products.
  • Review code for correctness, style, and information security concerns.
  • Enhance the performance, maintainability, and operations of the code base through refactoring and upgrades.
  • Support production software by responding to alerts or bug reports as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Current rising sophomore, junior, or senior at a university or college.
  • Customer and product-focused mindset with the ability to balance speed and quality.
  • Basic understanding of core Software Engineering and coding concepts.
  • Strong collaborative skills with effective communication, a willingness to ask questions, and an openness to feedback.

Compensation

  • $50/hourin the State of New York, the State of California, and the State of Washington. Compensation is determined based on skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
