Job Description
Position Overview
At LPL Financial, professionals are empowered to shape their success while helping clients pursue their financial goals. The Payables Specialist, Accounting will assist in the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable team. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President, Payables in the San Diego office and works closely with internal business unit customers and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually enter data invoices and disbursement requests
- Reconcile invoices against purchase orders
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Quality control review of invoices and disbursement requests
- Maintenance of Vendor Master File
- Assist in the preparation of month-end accruals
- Review of system interfaces
- Special projects as assigned
- Ad hoc requests as assigned by manager
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite of Applications
- SAP Concur Travel and Expense experience a plus
- Oracle ERP and/or SAP Ariba experience a plus
