Job Description
Position Overview
The Senior Business Analyst of Operations Programs is responsible for leading in-depth analysis of current credit union programs and payment channels. This role partners with Program Managers and other lines of business to drive improvements, enhance compliance, and recommend efficiencies within existing processes, including Vendor Management, spend analysis, and contract reviews.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of payment processes to identify opportunities for enhanced compliance, improved service delivery, and process changes, while consulting with stakeholders on current process flows.
- Act as an escalation point by partnering with Program Managers to manage projects, communicate statuses, document process changes, and update internal procedures.
- Lead project meetings on behalf of Program Managers or leadership, managing project prioritization and serving as a primary point of contact for smaller scope projects.
- Interact closely with third-party vendors to stay informed of industry trends and report findings and suggestions to leadership.
- Conduct research and pursue educational opportunities to stay current with payment communities and credit union processes, including industry associations such as Visa USA, Visa International, Fiserv, Federal Reserve, and Wespay.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working in banking/financial service operations.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects or tasks concurrently, meeting time frames and quality requirements.
- Proven expertise in documenting and tracking projects.
- Excellent analytical problem resolution, detail orientation, organizational skills, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, OneNote, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience on product/project teams focused on process and procedure design, maintenance, and communications.
- 2+ years of experience in process improvement.
- 2+ years of experience in business analytics.
- Payment Certification- AAP, NCP.
