ABOUT

THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Dev Ops Engineer to join our team and contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of our development platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, coupled with expertise in infrastructure automation, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and cloud technologies. You will play a critical role in optimizing our development processes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency across our development platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes, including code integration, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track system performance, identify issues proactively, and ensure high availability of development services.
• Cloud native Development on Kubernetes: Support and guide teams designing and deploying applications in Kubernetes.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with development teams to understand their requirements and provide support in optimizing their workflows. Document processes, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and maintain system reliability. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements within the development platform. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s degree: in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. (Preferred)
• Proven experience: as a Dev Ops Engineer or similar role, with a focus on development platform infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency: in one or more of the following programming languages: golang, c#, python, java script.
• Experience: with containerization technologies with Docker, container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and tools like Helm and Skaffold.
• In-depth knowledge: of CI/CD concepts and experience with CI/CD pipeline automation using tools like Github Actions, Gitlab, Jenkins and patterns and tools for Git Ops like ArgoCD.
• Familiarity: with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including services like EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, etc.
• Experience: with infrastructure monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.
• Solid understanding: of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge: of agile methodologies and experience working in agile development environments.
• Familiarity: with software development practices, version control systems (e.g., Git), and agile project management tools (e.g., Jira).
• Excellent problem-solving skills: and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.
