Medical Assistant - Oncology - Days

Position Overview

Compensation: Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 - $28.84. The hourly pay rate is determined by a candidate's expertise, years of experience and other factors.

Join our team as a Medical Assistant at Swedish Hospital Cancer Center in Chicago, IL. This full-time position (40 hours/week) offers a consistent schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm, with no weekends or holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort them to exam rooms
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reasons for office visits
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals such as blood pressure, height, and weight
• Conduct phlebotomy and administer injections as required

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association
• At least one year of work experience (experience in a medical office is a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA)
