Position Overview

This leading global manufacturer of highly engineered sensing, control, and sealing components has over 4,000 employees worldwide and 10 manufacturing facilities. With a 75-year track record of innovation and a highly collaborative approach, the company is dedicated to mission-critical protection and data delivery across a variety of systems, ensuring safety in appliances, HVAC, industrial equipment, motor vehicles, and aircraft.

We are seeking a Senior Director of Product Management responsible for developing and implementing business strategies to increase market penetration and profits across all product families. The role involves global leadership over product marketing, pricing, growth, lifecycle management, and overall product strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product management for global product families and markets; develop and communicate strategic initiatives to achieve growth and profit targets.
  • Develop product strategies and roadmaps across all product lines.
  • Drive new product development initiatives and, when needed, serve as project manager to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of customer-required features.
  • Optimize product line profitability by maximizing pricing based on lifecycle analysis and market dynamics, and partnering with Operations to drive cost efficiencies.
  • Determine global pricing strategies; oversee the pricing process, implementation, and communication with customers.
  • Collaborate with Sales on product pricing, market readiness, marketing plans, sales channels, and customer acquisition to meet growth targets.
  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain on manufacturing design, cost improvements, and supply chain efficiency to achieve profitability.
  • Work with Mar Coms and Engineering to stay abreast of competitive landscape changes and product innovation.
  • Continuously assess customer line profitability to identify margin growth opportunities.
  • Manage the lifecycle of the business area, monitoring product performance, strategic positioning, and necessary risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with customers, external partners, market experts, and internal teams to drive growth initiatives via the New Product Introduction (NPI) Process.
  • Effectively manage a globally dispersed team; develop and motivate an efficient product management organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree: required; a degree in engineering or business is preferred.
  • MBA: preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years: of relevant industry and product management experience in an industrial or business-to-business environment.
  • At least three years: of experience effectively managing a team.
  • Ability: to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Strong business acumen: market expertise, and operational understanding.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Visionary leadership: that motivates teams to succeed.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Proficient: in MS Office or equivalent productivity software.
  • Customer-facing role: with travel requirements of approximately 20%.
