Senior Associate, Accounting

Position Overview

We're looking for a process-driven Senior Accounting Associate to join our experienced team of accounting and finance professionals. This full-time, fully remote role (with occasional access to our coworking spaces in Orlando and Tampa) is an excellent opportunity for individuals with approximately six years of accounting experience who are eager to work with exciting startup companies. You will handle the day-to-day accounting needs of our startup clients, working both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with internal teams and startup clients to drive process improvement
• Assist with all aspects of accounting from recording transactions to management reporting and ad-hoc analyses
• Process AP, AR, and other transactions
• Perform bank and other reconciliations
• Update or create supporting schedules for financial statements
• Process payroll for clients
• Perform month-end close activities
• Assist in preparation for meetings with portfolio companies
• Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned by the manager

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from an accredited university
• Experience with QuickBooks Online (QuickBooks Certification preferred)
• Deep expertise in accounting controls, general ledger functions, and month-end/year-end close processes
• Experience designing, implementing, and managing financial accounting and ERP systems
• Strong self-motivation, excellent work ethic, and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
• An entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for working with growing startup companies
