Job Description

Position Overview

The Head of Marketing – Fanatics Branded Credit Card is a senior marketing executive responsible for shaping the brand, creative vision, and growth strategy for the first-ever Fanatics-branded credit card. This leader will ensure a successful launch, build trust with consumers, and serve as a powerful gateway for fan engagement and loyalty within the broader Fanatics ecosystem.

Working closely with the President of Fanatics Financial Services and cross-functional partners across Commercial, Product, Compliance, and Operations, the successful candidate will champion an integrated marketing agenda that drives acquisition, retention, and long-term engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Brand Leadership – Define and own brand positioning, storytelling, and voice for the Fanatics-branded credit card, ensuring consistent global resonance across regulated markets.
  • Integrated Go-to-Market Execution – Lead the launch strategy and subsequent campaigns to drive adoption and sustained growth of the credit card.
  • Experiential & Partnership Marketing – Create bold, differentiated event, in-store, and experiential strategies that highlight the credit card’s unique benefits, connecting customers, athletes, and partners in meaningful ways.
  • Social & Growth Innovation – Pioneer social-first, influencer-driven, and guerrilla campaigns that drive awareness, buzz, and adoption while ensuring compliance.
  • Customer Retention & Cross-Sell – Build lifecycle strategies to maximize customer value, loyalty, and integration of the card across the Fanatics ecosystem.
  • Organizational Leadership – Develop, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team capable of scaling globally.
  • Performance Marketing & Acquisition – Design and optimize data-driven acquisition strategies across paid media, search, display, affiliate, and emerging channels to maximize customer growth and return on marketing investment.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of senior marketing leadership experience in credit cards, consumer financial products, fintech, or payments.
  • Proven track record in successful product launches, brand campaigns, and growth marketing strategies in regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer acquisition, retention, and lifecycle programs that deliver measurable results.
  • Experience with partnership and experiential marketing that scales brand impact globally.
  • Exceptional storytelling and strategic thinking skills with a balance of creativity and compliance.
  • Proven capability in building collaborative partnerships and leading high-performing teams.
  • A strategic operator with a global perspective, driving results and building trust.
