Job Description

Position Overview

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an immediate opening for a Principal-level Environmental Geologist or Engineer for our Irvine, California office. The successful candidate will act as a technical lead, drive business development, and provide high-level consulting services. Location: Irvine, CA
Schedule: Full time, in office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Irvine Division’s technical lead
  • Play a key role in growing Ninyo & Moore’s environmental consulting business
  • Perform both business development and technical consulting activities
  • Promote personal technical reputation and the Ninyo & Moore brand
  • Support client development and high-level consulting efforts
  • Contribute to a results-driven, growth-oriented environment with competitive compensation

Required Qualifications

  • Education: B.S. degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent; California PG, PE, or GE license (required)
  • Experience Required: 15+ years of experience, preferably with an environmental engineering services consulting firm
  • Results-driven, self-motivated California-licensed Professional Geologist or Engineer (PE or PG)
  • Experience with NEPA/CEQA and Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs)
  • Strong relationships with state and local regulatory agencies
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, environmental remediation, emergency construction support for contaminated sites, and environmental issues including air, wastewater, and hazardous waste
  • Experience attending shortlist and interview presentations for major environmental clients
  • Ability to perform as an Expert Witness

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
