Position Overview
Please note that while this role operates remotely, the candidate must reside in the United States (EXCLUDING THE BAY AREA). Do you love to dine out? At Yelp, as a Strategic Account Executive in the growing Yelp Restaurants division, you will run the full sales cycle—from prospecting to closing—helping restaurant owners succeed with dynamic tools like Yelp Reservations, Waitlist, Connect, and Advertising. This role provides career progression with increased compensation, title, and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage your own book of business through prospecting and disciplined pipeline management.
- Drive the full sales cycle primarily through inside sales—making introductory calls, assessing business goals, and closing deals.
- Become an expert in Yelp's full suite of products and articulate their value to restaurant owners.
- Adapt product recommendations to suit client needs by asking probing questions and effectively handling objections.
- Achieve and consistently exceed monthly sales goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years outbound sales experience selling SaaS solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong comfort level on the phone.
- Proficiency with general computer applications and email.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A growth mindset with the drive to continuously learn and improve.
- Commitment to a high standard of integrity and work ethic.
- Excellent listening, assertiveness, persistence, and persuasive capabilities.
- Genuine curiosity about people and local restaurants, with an ability to inspire passion in others.
- Adaptability to handle challenges and tough conversations without fear of failure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with restaurant technology, including reservation systems, waitlist systems, or front-of-house management tools.
- Familiarity with Salesforce.
