Job Description
Position Overview
The Accounting Clerk I at the Seattle Support Center is a key role within Columbia Hospitality, where you will help maintain accurate financial processes and deliver exceptional service. Key Responsibilities
- Apply payments and research/resolve payment discrepancies
- Process credit card payments and credits and make necessary account adjustments
- Assist in establishing guest credit including application processes and reference checks
- Provide customers with accurate and timely invoices, statements, and schedules
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and notify the Director of Finance of any issues or disputes
- Maintain an efficient collection process and ensure proper internal controls through regular ledger monitoring
- Maintain regular attendance and cross-train with Accounts Payable and General Cashier duties
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Finance
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents
- Strong integrity and discretion when handling confidential issues
- Proficiency in applying mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, probability, and statistical inference to practical situations
- Proven proficiency in using computers and Excel
- Knowledge of Property Management Systems and familiarity with Great Appfolio Accounting Software is a plus
