Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Manager to join our Marketing team. This Manager will play a key role in shaping and maintaining a cohesive brand image for Orange County United Way across the community. The role focuses on supporting the marketing and communication needs for our Development and Philanthropy teams, signature events, and other key marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will manage the end-to-end execution of marketing projects, both print and digital, with a hands-on approach to ensuring high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead point of contact for our Development, Grant, Philanthropy, Event and Corporate Engagement teams for all marketing requests.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to execute projects timely and successfully.
- Oversee budgets and timelines; drive projects to on-time completion and communicate changes when applicable.
- Track projects on the marketing project traffic tool and update status weekly.
- Execute projects from concept to completion.
- Oversee all asset development including email marketing, video production, photoshoots, event support, advertising, collaterals, content development, event social media plan, website updates, and promotional items.
- Create and update marketing materials in line with branding and design principles.
- Prepare tracking reports to brief stakeholders on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support and manage other marketing projects as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, research, problem-solving, and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to new priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with differing deadlines and objectives simultaneously.
- High emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster team collaboration.
- Experience working efficiently with internal cross-functional teams as well as external vendors such as graphic designers, advertisers, printers, videographers, and promo item representatives.
- Proven experience in event marketing management and video production management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Google collaboration tools (Docs, Sheets, Forms).
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp and managing successful media and print advertising campaigns.
- Knowledge of WordPress, SEO, and UX/UI best practices.
- Proficiency with design tools like Canva and familiarity with builder platforms such as Formstack.
- Experience in social media content development, basic HTML, CRM platforms, and video editing software.
- Experience Required: 10+ years of project management experience with a proven track record completing event marketing and digital/print projects.
- Semi-flexible hybrid working schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Agency experience preferred
Benefits & Perks
- Compensation: Commensurate with experience, education, and market, $70,500 – $90,000. Competitive benefits.
