Job Description

Position Overview

As a Specialist Sales Executive on AT&T's National Business Sales team, you will generate new sales revenue by hunting and prospecting within your territory, engaging with small and mid-sized business customers, and delivering customized, value-added solutions that drive connectivity and innovation in areas like cybersecurity, fiber, wireless, cloud, and IoT. Enjoy exciting rewards such as a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a competitive compensation structure with a base ranging from $48,300 - $72,500 plus commission, and a total target compensation of $93,300 - $117,500. This role is based in Dallas, Texas with regular 40-hour work weeks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Actively hunt for new leads within your territory through external networks, cold calling, and door knocks.
  • Client Engagement: Understand and address the communication and technology needs of current and potential business customers.
  • Account Development: Establish and nurture long-term relationships to develop new accounts and expand existing ones.
  • Consultative Selling: Utilize consultative selling skills to overcome objections, identify trends, and close sales opportunities.
  • Proposal Development: Craft responses for RFPs and present tailored products and services that benefit customers.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Design and implement strategies to grow and retain the revenue stream of assigned accounts.

Required Qualifications

  • Hunter Mindset: A relentless drive to seek out leads and close deals, coupled with resilience and perseverance.
  • Networking and Negotiation Skills: Strong ability to network and effectively negotiate.
  • Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, current auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
  • Sales Targets: Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed assigned sales targets.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Sales Experience: 2-5 years of outside or B2B sales experience, preferably in technology-based sales.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience and understanding in IT and advanced technology.
  • Sales Funnel Management: Proficiency in managing sales funnels and familiarity with CRM systems.
