Job Description

Position Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing maintenance operations at a high-volume facility. You will implement business plans, monitor productivity, maintain quality and safety standards, and lead and develop associates and leaders. You are expected to manage daily maintenance operations while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with individuals or groups (customers, suppliers, associates) both verbally and in writing.
  • Implement the business plan for your area by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads to achieve facility objectives such as production, quality, and safety.
  • Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on logistics and company policies, monitoring compliance, and managing documentation.
  • Identify associate, customer, and supplier concerns by actively listening, consulting with others, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders through effective delegation, performance monitoring, feedback, and targeted training.
  • Manage daily maintenance operations including monitoring warehouse equipment performance (material handling, pneumatic systems, electrical systems, air compressors, refrigeration, and general building repairs) and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations (OSHA, NFPA, DOT, etc.).
  • Oversee financial aspects by tracking expenses, capital expenditures, asset utilization, and preparing business reports in comparison to budgets.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or Technical School Certification in an Industrial-related field with 1 year of related maintenance department supervisory experience, OR a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial, or related field, OR equivalent supervisory experience in a maintenance-related environment.
  • 2+ years of experience in Walmart Logistics maintenance (including at least six months leading a work or project team) OR 2 years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting with at least 1 year in the maintenance field.
  • Willingness to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Compliance, General Maintenance, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Refrigeration Equipment (especially in supermarkets), Supervising Associates, and Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics is a plus.
