Job Description
Position Overview
Provides direction and leadership to ensure that supply chain operational strategies address patient safety, quality, clinical outcomes and cost control for the responsible departments. Ensures operational compliance via dashboards and facility audits. Applies specialized knowledge to solving complex supply chain operations management and business problems within established policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Promotes team building and collaboration by hiring, training, mentoring, and supervising staff; motivates and encourages achievement of personal, organizational, and team goals while conducting annual reviews and recognizing accomplishments.
- Manages various programs and services, collaborating with multiple departments and monitoring performance outcomes with appropriate reporting.
- Serves as liaison with vendors by coordinating bulk and special purchases, supporting product/vendor conversions, managing rebate initiatives, and overseeing warehouse and central distribution processes.
- Participates in developing strategic plans and operationalizes these plans to ensure premier customer service for internal and external customers.
- Develops, administers, and monitors regional supply chain operations strategies and goals that complement organizational objectives and community quality healthcare needs.
- Ensures the development, implementation, and standardization of leading practice supply chain processes in logistics, warehousing, procurement, distribution, and inventory management.
- Creates and maintains an environment that encourages continual improvement in the quality and scope of supply chain services.
- Directs and monitors supply chain automation best practices and innovations to ensure superior customer experience.
- Optimizes supply utilization by leveraging internal and external benchmarks and clinical research to implement process improvements and develop financial plans for cost savings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience or education
- Five years’ experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility
