Job Description

Position Overview

Perform state licensure surveys in assisted living, residential healthcare, home plus, adult day care and boarding care facilities across Kansas. This position conducts on‐site surveys of state licensed adult care homes to determine compliance with state licensure requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct onsite surveys of Licensed Only Adult Care Homes; observe and document resident/patient services; interview residents/patients, their significant others, and facility staff; review medical records; and analyze data to evaluate compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Completes required survey forms.
  • Conduct regular revisits and special monitoring visits to assigned facilities using survey techniques to determine compliance with state licensure requirements.
  • Use survey techniques to conduct complaint investigations, determine compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and make recommendations for employee license reviews when necessary.
  • Compile and produce written reports based on data obtained during facility surveys; conduct status and exit conferences; and testify at hearings or in courts regarding survey findings.
  • Provide on-the-job training to newly hired survey staff and participate in ongoing quality assurance activities.
