Junior Data Analyst at Talint Baltimore, MD

Position Overview

Talint’s client – a highly recognized management consulting firm awarded for being one of the Best Places to Work in Greater Washington – is seeking a Junior Data Analyst. In this hybrid role (three to four days a week at Fort Belvoir, VA), you will support the Army’s annual Program Objective Memorandum (POM) planning, POM build, and Program budget review. You will work with data analysis tools including SQL, Power BI, and DataBricks. A strong background in data analysis and a current DoD Secret Clearance (or higher) is required. In addition, a competitive total compensation package of $140,000.00-$150,000.00 is offered.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines supporting Army financial planning.
• Support development of SQL queries, Power BI dashboards, and automated reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
• Support efforts to modernize legacy reporting tools.
• Work closely with senior data engineers and analysts to refine outputs.
• Ensure data accuracy and security across systems.
• Document processes and contribute to audit-readiness.

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher (required).
• 3–6 years of relevant experience with data pipelines and reporting systems.
• Strong experience in SQL, Power BI, and DataBricks.
• Familiarity with financial planning, POM processes, or federal data systems.
• Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into robust data models and tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
