Entry Level Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an Entry Level Line Mechanic to join our team. This position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and exposure in the industry. The role is for the 2nd shift, from 3:30 PM to 2:30 AM, and includes a training period on the 1st shift, from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, for 2-3 months. Upon completion of training, an additional $0.75 per hour will be added to your rate.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
- Execute changeovers on machinery, making necessary adjustments and setting up machines according to production runs.
- Repair, troubleshoot, install, maintain, and repair various equipment including fillers, conveyors, labelers, and printers.
- Work on other equipment needed to fill, label, and package products in various size containers.
Required Qualifications
- Basic mechanical skills and aptitude.
- Experience with automotive repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Understanding of blueprints, hydraulics, mechanical, and pneumatics systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.

Work Environment
This role is for the 2nd shift, Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:30 AM, in a chemical company. The facility is large and fairly clean, providing a conducive environment for the line mechanic to perform their duties.
