Ooni is looking for a Retail Marketing Manager to join our Marketing and Sales Teams. The Retail Marketing Manager will play a crucial role in determining the future growth across key customers and retail eCommerce.

You will partner closely with sales and marketing, ensuring complete brand alignment with business objectives and priorities with our retailers. A depth of knowledge in sales, marketing, and retail is required, as well as having the strategic and tactical agility to keep up with our brand growth. You will work closely with Sales leadership to execute strategies and campaigns that support our fast-growing and constantly changing business.

The job:

Strategic Retailer Planning & Partnerships - Focuses on high-level relationship management and long-term growth.

  • Serve as the primary lead for retail marketing discussions with retailers; oversee performance and implementation of marketing objectives based on sales goals.
  • Build partnerships with buying, marketing, and merchandising leadership at key accounts; set regular meeting cadences to report on progress.
  • Set full-year priorities per account and represent the "retailer point of view" in internal meetings.
  • Align resources, service levels, and POS opportunities based on the tiering of retail partners.
  • Assess marketing ROI per retailer to plan annual investments and elevate or minimize investment based on YoY performance.

Campaign Development & Execution - Focuses on the creation and rollout of specific promotional activities.

  • Lead the development of product-specific promotional programs tailored to individual retail accounts to increase revenue, market share, and brand awareness.
  • Develop bespoke marketing activities for key objectives and occasions, establishing KPIs and ensuring all elements follow brand guidelines.
  • Partner with brand and creative teams to ensure final assets are in-hand and distributed to key partners ahead of launches.
  • Work with Paid Media agencies to determine and execute plans for Retail Media Networks (RMNs).
  • Socialize key learnings and insights from promotional activity across trade and sales teams.

Merchandising, Field, & Digital Operations- Focuses on the physical and digital "shelf" presence.

  • Oversee planogram execution and manage all merchandising artwork and seasonal asset requests.
  • Execute Retailer Field Agent audits and produce corresponding recaps and reports.
  • Oversee retail training module strategy in collaboration with the Product Knowledge Lead.
  • Manage PDP Setup (Product Detail Pages) for any newly onboarded retailers.
  • Coordinate with the Events & Experience Associate Manager on the delivery of POP (Point of Purchase) and physical fixtures.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Events - Focuses on internal alignment and live brand experiences.

  • Partner with department leaders (Brand, Product, Digital, Creative) to develop a comprehensive plan that supports business objectives.
  • Map out retail marketing action plans with oversight from the Global Sr. Events & Experience Manager.
  • Establish regular communication with the sales team to report on campaign progress and identify/address roadblocks.
  • Assist with trade events, including consumer-facing demos, retail pop-ups/pop-ins, and trade shows as needed.

Team Leadership & Project Management- Focuses on people management and workflow efficiency.

  • Delegate appropriate workload to and monitor the performance of a team of two Retail Marketing Coordinators.
  • Partner with Retail Marketing Coordinators on all activity recaps and reporting.
  • Ensure all milestones are met and tracked during campaign creation and execution.
  • Manage external partners to ensure materials are produced on time and within budget.

Budgeting & Financial Oversight- Focuses on fiscal responsibility and reporting.

  • Outline annual plans and proposed spending in appropriate budgeting documents.
  • Track and monitor budget usage, reporting to the Finance team as necessary.
  • Track and monitor spending specifically on retailer-produced merchandising assets.

Apply if you:

  • Have 3+ years in Retail Marketing with mid-level management experience within the outdoor industry, consumer goods, or a retailer.
  • BA/BS Degree in Business, Marketing, or related subject.
  • Have a strong understanding of brand management and marketing in a premium retail environment, as well as Ecommerce.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.

  • Have a positive, growth mindset.
  • Are happy to travel as required, both domestically (possibly internationally).
  • You are flexible and willing to work as part of a global team across multiple time zones.
  • Have experience working with Excel and Google sheets are your best friend!
  • Are comfortable operating independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Are comfortable with high pace working environment.
  • Are goal and KPI driven.
  • Love of eating, making, and talking about pizza.
