Job Description
Position Overview
Powder River is seeking an Intelligent Automation (IA) Junior Developer. This position engages with client stakeholders, IT personnel, process experts, software vendors, engineering/support teams, and other members of the DPR engagement to analyze and qualify processes for automation, as well as design, implement, test, deploy, support, and operate IA capabilities in the client’s environments. This role includes serving as a process engineer, solution developer, and client advisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Robotic Process Automation Tools (i.e. UIPath, Automation Anywhere) (certification preferred but not required)
- Develop automation solutions using Python
- Utilize Java for application development
- Leverage Textract for document processing
- Script and automate tasks using Powershell
- Integrate processes with Service Now
- Develop applications with VB.NET
- Manage tickets and projects through JIRA
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Active Secret clearance
- 8570 IAT II certification (e.g. Security; can be taken during onboarding)
Preferred Qualifications
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying automation opportunities and troubleshooting issues.
- Understanding of Business Processes: Ability to analyze and optimize business processes to identify effective automation candidates.
- Data Handling Skills: Experience with Excel, databases, and data manipulation essential for many IA solutions.
- Version Control Familiarity: Knowledge of version control systems (like Git) to support collaboration and code management.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication for understanding requirements and providing updates to stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail ensuring accuracy and reliability in automation projects.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt as IA technologies and methodologies evolve rapidly.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working in agile teams or familiarity with project management tools.
- Curiosity and Willingness to Learn: A drive to break barriers in IT operations and integrate business process automation.
